Grab Bag Friday: zombies

Every Friday My 5 Monkey's and I are having a GRAB BAG GIVEAWAY as part of the
Month of Treats festivities.

A bag of Halloween candy treats and a $5 Amazon Gift Card

It's Zombie week!
What are your favorite zombie movies?

Here are a few of mine.....

Shaun of the Dead -
Everyone really needs to see this movie. It's hysterically funny and the zombies are actually quite scary.

Fido - Timmy Robinson's best friend in the whole wide world is a six-foot tall rotting zombie named Fido. But when FIDO eats the next-door neighbor, Mom and Dad hit the roof, and Timmy has to go to the ends of the earth to keep Fido a part of the family. A boy-and-his-dog movie for grown ups, "FIDO" will rip your heart out.

I love this movie. Not as well known as other zombie movies but it's clever, funny and bittersweet.

28 Days Later - Technically not a zombie movie but I don't care, it's zombie-ish enough for me. This movie creeps me the F out. and I don't scare easily. And.....Cillian Murphy!!

  1. I was going to say a machete, but that means I'd have to be real close to a zombie for a I'm going to go with some kind of automatic gun LOL!

  2. Zombieland or The Nightmare before Christmas. this may not be real zombie moves but they have zombies in them.

  3. I'd probably want to have some kind of gun in the event of zombie apocalypse. I don't want to get close to them or have to be particularly skilled.

I haven't got to see Fido yet, but really want to. Good movie list there :D

Answer to Question: I'd want one of those vaporizing *ray* guns like the kind used in Star Trek ;D

  5. I loved the remake a few years ago of Night of the Living Dead. I would want some sort of massive gun, so that I could shoot them from far away. If it was som kind of rocket/missile shooter that would be great to kill many at once.

  6. I think I would have to go for a machete, its light and apparently really sharp. I couldn't go for a gun or a crossbow because bullets and arrows run out, and I dunno how good my aim is!

    Thank you for the giveaway!

  7. I'd definitely want a flame-thrower, rocket launcher, or something to that effect. I absolutely LOVED Shaun of the Dead!

  8. I'd probably take a weapon of mass destruction like Eric MF Northman. He'd be my greatest chance at survival. :P

    Happy Friday, K!

  9. It's hard to choose a favorite zombie movie. I remember watching Quarantine alone and it scared the crap out of me, but I really do enjoy the funny zombie movies, like Zombieland and Shaun of the Dead. The zombie movie I've watched most is probably 2004's Dawn of the Dead.

+2 I follow the other blog through GFC too.

  10. I would bring a sword. Practical. And sexy!
Zombieland is an awesome movie...if you haven't seen do.

  11. Shaun of the Dead has been a long-running fav of mine. And I totally think 28 Days Later counts as a zombie film, though it's a very different angle. i love Cillian!

Have you seen Rodriguez' "Planet Terror"? It's super campy and trashy, but something about its wackiness worked for me. Be warned--it is disgusting.

I'd bring a shoulder-mounted grenade launcher. I've always wanted one of those.

  12. Favorite zombie movie- Resident Evil! I would totally bring a crossbow, it is quiet and had reusable ammo!

  16. I think the only zombie movies I've seen are the Resident Evil series. I tend to like them more in books than in movies.

  21. I love zombie movies!! My top ones are Shaun of the Dead, 28 days later and Dawn of the dead. I'm watching Resident Evil on tv right now. 2 thumbs up!! I'd take along a really big knife, because if I had a gun I'd eventually run out of ammo. Thanks!!

  22. I'd have to go with a machete, because if you choose a gun, you have to come up with bullets when you are out - but with a machete, you don't have to worry about that!
