Sunday Ramblings…

It’s been a long time since I’ve done one of these. Non bloggy life has been keeping me busy.

On the personal front, I moved my dad closer to me. This is a picture of the workout room where he lives. It’s guarded by a Florida Gator Gnome on the weekends. Gotta love a good sense of humor.

Last week I went to see Imagine Dragons. I saw them as an opening act last year but they were incredible headlining their own show this time around! Very cool set too – it made you feel like you were outside in a jungle. Here’s my craptastic cell phone picture. Just imagine you’re in a jungle listening to Radioactive…lol

One of their opening acts was Nico Vega. I had listened to her on Spotify before the concert and honestly wasn’t too impressed but man is she good live. She’s got a set of pipes on her and can sing almost any style of music from emo to hymns. The crowd was going wild for her. Here’s a video of one of her more rock-ish anthems: Beast

Weekly wrap-up:
I’m going to put a few weeks worth of links since it’s been awhile….

Reviews:
Falling for Her Fiancé by Cindi Madsen – Loved this one. I also saw Cindi say on twitter that there will be a book #2 with a different couple. Yay!
Mind Games by Kiersten White – trippy. This is going to be a love it or hate kind of book. I ended up loving it after the confusing start.
Freak of Nature by Julia Crane – I’m not sorry I read it but it didn’t live up to my high hopes.
Speaking of Love by Ophelia London – Super cute, fast read if your looking for a little clean romance.
Etiquette & Espionage by Gail Carriger – I really enjoyed this one. Lots of fun!

Music:
It’s been love song month for the Tune in Tuesday. Here are my picks so far

Misc:My Couch to 5K progress – Update. I finished the program and I’m running 5K. Just barely….but yay!

Happy Sunday everyone!

  1. I hope your dad's ok.

The gnome picture is cute. It reminds me of that funny commercial the postal service does with that creepy clown. Have you seen it?

    3. He has Parkinson's and his wife died last month. He was about 2 1/2 hours away from so and we moved him to an Assisted Living facility right by me. He really seems to love it.

  4. Hahaha, nothing to scare away intruders quite like a guard gnome.

And I'm still totally jealous of you seeing Imagine Dragons! And I'm really enjoying that song you posted by Nico Vega; it's always hit and miss with her for me.
