Better Know A Blogger

Better Know A Blogger is a very popular feature during the month of The Ultimate Reviewer's Challenge. It's a great way to meet the blogger behind the blog!

First up is Dreaming Dreams no mortal ever dared!

Name: Teri
Blog: Dreaming Dreams no mortal ever dared
Blogging since: May 2011

How did you choose the name for your blog?
My father use to read me the most bizarre bedtimes stories as I grew up. I got Macbeth, Remus and Romulus and alot of Edgar Allan Poe. I never lost my love for EAP. His tales of mystery is probably one of the first "adult" books I remember buying. So naturally when I went to name a book related blog I turned to him. I took the line from The Raven, which is one of my favorite poems by him. Not my favorite tho, that would be Anabelle Lee, but I couldn't come up with a good blog title from there..trust me I tried.

How have your reading habits changed since you started blogging?
I have always been a big reader, but I do find myself reading more since I started blogging. I follow some amazing blogs out there and they are always reviewing books that I think I must have, therefore I buy and have to read, plus since I review I want to make sure I have enough stuff to post on the blog . I also broke down and allowed my husband to buy me a Nook Tablet for Christmas, something I said I would never own ( I like the smell and feel of books) But I love it, and it makes it nice for him that I don't roam in the bed room late at night and turn on the light so I can read. Because I have no problems at all doing that..I need my reading time!

Karen: I never thought I would like e-readers either until my husband got me a kindle. I still prefer to hold a "real" book but what a space saver!

What are the books you are most looking forward to reading in 2012?
Oh there are so many, where do I start. I know of 4 books that I will have in hand the day they come out..City of Lost Souls by Cassandra Clair..I'm a huge Jace fan. The finale of the Hush Hush series by Becca Fitzpatrick , whatever Stephanie Perkins has in store for us later in the year and Shine, the last book about Logan and Zach from Jeri Smith Ready.

How do you choose which book from the enormous TBR pile to read next?I flounder..honestly..I don't know. its kinda of like eenny meeny miney mo ( is that how you would spell that?) I need to come up with a way to manage, but I haven't. I do however, list books that have to do with challenges I am attempting this year each month knowing I need to read those. After that..its all up in the air. A little view of two shelves of my TBR pile..its a five shelf bookcase.....its full....
What has been the best thing about blogging and reviewing books??
My readers! I have met so many fantastic bloggers it isn't even funny. They not only are friends, they teach me things, inspire me, and give me a heck of a TBR pile to work on. Reviewing books is hard for me tho, I never really know what to say. I post the Goodreads Summary on my reviews, so I try not to give another run down its usually my feelings on the book. Its a bit more personal for me.

  4. Teri, I love EAP, too. I fell for his dark poetry in 6th grade and never loooked back! I'm glad you're at least attempting some reading challenges--I never have the gumption. :-)

  5. I love to have my own Nook too, Teri! I tried the eeney meeney as well but it didn't work for me since I'm a mood reader. :)
