Question: What reading challenges (if any) are you planning to participate in 2022?

Answer: I rarely do reading challenges anymore because I suck at them lol

The only one I do every year is the Goodreads challenge but I've lowered the number drastically there too. It used to be 250, then 100, 50, this year was 12 (I've read 42 books so far in 2021) and I'm debating between sticking with 12 or jumping to 20 for 2022.

I am adding the 2022 Audiobook Challenge this year. It's hosted by Jen - Talking About Books (who is one of the co-hosts of this meme) & Kimberly of Caffeinated Reviewer

It's a very laidback challenge and I'm signing up at the Weekend Warrior level of 5-10 books for the year.

The audiobook format was something I finally came around to this year and one of the only reasons I read as much as I did in 2021 so we'll see what happens with it. Or will I continue to be challenge challenged? lol

Are you joining any challenges in 2022?
Do they help motivate you or add stress (is me)?

    1. I'm adding the audio one this year because I feel like that's what I do anyway but that usually makes me NOT do something lol

  3. I love reading challenges, but I like the ones with prompts, though, I will always do Goodreads.

    1. See...as soon as I'm prompted - I immediately don't want to read whatever it is lol

Goodreads is generic enough to work for me.

  4. Same! I suck at reading challenges and I’m overall just not a fan of them for me. I don’t want to read to fulfill challenges. I just want to read what I want to read. And I’ve scaled down my GR goal, too. The last 2 years I think I’ve set it at 80. Zero pressure.

    1. I cannot force myself to read anymore. It just doesn't work. 80 is a lot!!

  5. Do 12 for GR! I'm gonna make my 50 again (I've read 115 so far). I like the idea of signing up for challenges but I'm terrible at the follow through.

    1. I think I am going to do 12. Even 50 is too much these days.

  7. I saw the other Challenge Jen is doing and will try that since it's 12 books from your TBR and I own WAY more unread books than that!

    1. I've tried those because I thought it would be easy for me too & clear out my book. But I immediately won't read anything once I'm challenged lol
