IMG_20181013_085741_972I almost didn't do this months prompt. The sad truth is – I live in FL and it’s still 90 degrees so I can’t enjoy fall.

But if were to answer each question - there wouldn't be an either/or - I love EVERYTHING about fall. All the colors, all the food, all the decor, all the activities. (except football)

I am feeling defiant though, so I’m baking a pumpkin pie today. And it was 57 the other morning so I pulled out a sweater to wear (with shorts lol) for approximately 30 minutes before I got too hot.

I hate winter but boy do I miss fall!

What are your fall favorites?

LOL, me too. Though we suffer a little less than you, but still.

Those listed above are all typical U.S. fall things, so I can't answer your question (I never tasted apple cider or pumpkin doughnuts - and then again, I have a salty tooth so they wouldn't work for me for sure... - I don't have the faintest idea about hayride or bonfire, and the list goes on. Oh, and I hate football too...). It's ironic though that I have a blog background called pumpkin something 😁. Orange and green aren't my favourite strong colours (that would be red, yellow and hot pink), but when I saw that one I knew it would work.

    😂

What I like the most about fall is to be able to go around without sweating or feeling miserable for the hot LOL. After the summer I've had, it's a small blessing.

    1. I like both salty and sweet snacks but I can only eat small amounts of sweets now. I feel gross after if I eat too much lol

I used to live in a small town that went all out for fall. We had the Apple Umpkin festival lol It was SO much fun and it makes me miss fall.

  2. Lol, well at least you got to wear it for 30 min ;)

    90! OMG

  3. Ew 90 degrees. I don't even like that in the summer.

Fall is such an elusive season. I swear we had 60-70 degrees for about 10 days now we're in the upper 40 (and 50s on a good day)!

    1. We don't get fall but we aren't usually still this hot and humid in October. It's killing my soul lol

  4. I feel like fall goes way too fast...we jump from 80 degrees to 30. I just wanted to be able to open my windows, not turn on the heat! I wouldn't be able to live somewhere warm all year - I need all the seasons.

    1. That's how it was when I lived in upstate NY. It was snowing by Halloween.

We do have seasons where I am in northern FL - just not the traditional ones. More like two - summer and a fallish winter lol

    1. Me too! We're supposed to have a few cool fronts come in later this week so I'm hoping I can sneak in some more sweaters :-)

  6. I love the Fall too but it seems to go from really hot to really cold quickly around here, so I don't really get proper Fall weather for long. But definitely better than being in Florida! LOL I do love most things about Fall, though I'm not really a pumpkin flavored person. I'd rather go with apples (cider, caramel apples, pie!)!

  7. That is very tragic (seriously!) though your Halloween spirit is the best. I love fall. I used to love summer, but lately I am growing to appreciate winter a lot more!

    1. It is tragic! It's hard to get into the spooky spirit when it's 90!

Winter in upstate NY (near Buffalo) broke me. It will be a long time before I think fondly of cold weather again lol

  8. I totally understand. There's no such thing as seasons here in SoCal. I haven't seen a season other than summer in YEARS. Growing up in NY, we'd always take a drive up to the Adirondacks to see the fall leaves. I miss the colors of fall. :'(
Which is probably by my house explodes with seasonal decor starting in late Aug. LoL

    1. I used to live in upstate NY so we had all the fall festivals and leaves changing. I really miss it. I'm fine without winter but I miss fall.

  9. I love how your answer is just everything lol. But yeah, we don't get much in the way of fall in Florida. You gotta wear those sweaters and boots and warm weather clothes the second you get the chance, haha.

    1. We do get a change in seasons here in northern FL but not enough to call it fall.

I still own sweaters though and I try to wear them at least once throughout the winter. I rarely get a chance to wear one twice.

  11. Fall is the best. It's starting to happen here. I love the winter, too. I couldn't take much more winter than we get in mid-NC, though. Its just enough without making me twitch. lol

  13. Yes I ADORE fall and we are definitely in the fall season here in Utah. I love the colors of the leaves, the cooler weather, the scents and everything pumpkin and apple cider.

  14. Fall is my favorite as well. The colors I see in the trees are staples in my wardrobe, and PUMPKIN!!! Those in-between seasons keep getting shorter and shorter. I feel like it's hot and then it's cold. Where's the warm?

    1. I love our winters. The farmer's markets are in full swing - I can get out and walk. Summer is my hibernation season.

  15. I love fall so much, but it's so short lived, that I feel as though this romanticized version we have in our heads about what it's like... doesn't really exist? LOL, I went out apple/pumpkin picking the other day, and it was 44 degrees, and I was FREEZING my arse off. so like, yea, the colors were pretty, but I could have done with like 20 degrees warmer :) at least you put on a sweater and made a pumpkin pie to celebrate the season :)

    1. maybe that's why we all love it so much. It's so short lived that it never gets overdone.
