Better Know a Blogger

We're kicking off Better Know a Blogger with Kate from I just wanna Sit Here and Read.

I had the opportunity to meet Kate at BEA in NYC last May. We were standing in a very long line for Jennifer Lynn Barnes - Raised by Wolves. Neither of us knew what the book was about - we just heard werewolves and that was good enough...lol. We were talking for almost 15 minutes before we exchanged cards and realized we were both bloggers and I had even posted a picture of her adorable puppy on one of my Sunday Rambling posts! It's a small world!

So let's meet Kate!

- What is your name/blogger name? Kate
- What is the name of your blog? I Just Wanna Sit Here and Read! http://www.sithereandread.com/

-Do you have an auto-buy author, someone whose writing is so good, you have to read every single thing they write? Kelley Armstrong, hands down.
-Who is your all-time favorite couple in literature, and why? (Or favorite male/female character) Oh geez that is a toughie. I'm going to probably fall into a cliche but I'd have to say Elizabeth Bennett & Fitzwilliam Darcy. I love (love love!) a good 'I hate you' turned to 'I love you' type of romance. I think getting all the fighting and faults out of the way in the beginning makes for a healthy and fantastic relationship. Plus he's rich, come on! :)
-Do you have an e-reader? Do you prefer e-books or regular books, or use both? I do have a Kindle. I prefer real books to look at the pretty covers, but for ease of transport I like my Kindle. I can just whip it out whenever and I always have a whole library on the go. It leaves a lot of room for other stuff when I go on vacations.
-What are your Top 5 picks for the best books of 2010? The Iron Daughter by Julie Kagawa, Ascendant by Diana Peterfreund, Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins, Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins, Siren by Tricia Rayburn
-What book or series has been sitting in your TBR the longest? Multiple books in the Women of the Otherworld (Kelley Armstrong) series. I keep skipping around it and there are always new releases. I will get them all done someday!
-What's the best thing about blogging and reviewing books? The ability to share with the world my passion for reading. I don't feel like a crazy book lady anymore since joining this community. And the people I have met are amazing and I can't imagine not spending my free time blogging!

Thanks Kate! You are definitely not a crazy book lady....or maybe we're all crazy so it's ok!

  3. I also like when a hate-love relationship works out. I think those are some of the best relationships in literature.
