RWA Author signing!

Last night the DH and I went to the RWA Author's book signing at the Disney Dolphin Resort in Orlando!
There were over 500 authors and two hours to run around and get your books autographed. It was slightly overwhelming at first but luckily all the authors were at tables in alphabetical order making it MUCH easier than BEA was to find everyone. Here you had to buy the books though vs. free for the BEA books. But all the proceeds went to charity so it's all good!

So here's the haul!

Meg Cabot - Insatiable, Jeniffer Echols - Forget You, Simone Elkeles - How to Ruin Your Boyfriend's Reputation, Cynthia Eden - Deadly Fear (with DF gum!) & I'll Be Slaying You, Jocelynn Drake - Wait For Dusk & Pray for Dawn (plus cute magnets!), Jeaniene Frost - EKOD!!, Kelley Armstrong - Tales of the Otherworld & Waking the Witch (squee!), Jennifer Lynn Barnes - Raised by Wolves, Tera Lynn Childs - Forgive My Fins, Serena Robar - Braced to Bite & Fangs for Faries, Deidre Knight (signed my personal copy of Butterfly Tattoo - not pictured), Still the One - Robin Wells. AND you cannot go the Romance Writers Convention and not get yourself a naked cowboy book...so I grabbed Unbridled by Beth Williamson (she also gave away sherrif rubber duckies!)
*You may notice that there are extra copies of a few of the books. That's because they are headed to the Ultimate Reviewer's Challenge prizepacks!! If you're a blogger - go HERE to learn more about the challenge and sign up!  A few of the other books may make their way in as well 0_0

ALL the author's were so unbelievably nice and we had a great time!!

The SWAG!!

I could probably ramble on more about how the night went but I'm still exhausted and blogger is being annoying, so I will quit while I'm ahead!

  8. AWESOME books!!! It sounds like you had an absolute blast! The good thing about buying your own (as opposed to the free BEA books) is that at least you won't be stressed out about getting them reviewed, so you'll actually want to read them and will probably enjoy them that much more :)

  9. Tiger - it was tiring but more fun than BEA (except for the fact that the books were free at BEA)Very laid back & everyone was having a lot of fun.
Barbara - It was great. I saw the long line going in and panicked but it wasn't bad once you got in!
Tori - It's in NY next year so you can go! Start saving :-)))
