friday fast 5

I've been feeling kind of blah all week but managed to round up a few things for a Friday Fast 5 post. I'm hoping I'll pull out of this funk over the weekend. I do have some fun reading planned

1.

This is SOOO me lol

DBlz62VUwAAq39-

I have literally forgotten to eat some days when I’ve gotten too absorbed in a book. My husband has found me starving and dehydrated and wasting away on the couch when he gets home from work. lol I’m sure I’m not the only one.

2.

Movies!

imagesdownload (9)download (15)

Saw Beauty and the Beast (disappointing), Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 (mostly fun), and Alien Covenant (a mess of a story but great gore lol)

We’re hoping that the crowds die down some and we can see Wonder Woman this week.

3.

Rain, rain go away…

We really needed the rain but gah – every day has been gloomy
Fonzi hates it and Fonzi should never be unhappy lol

The Get Social Blogger Event started earlier this week and it’s been so much fun!

There are 59 blogs total that signed up and I’ve been hopping around visiting everyone all week.
Even if you didn’t officially join – it’s super easy to check out the linky and find new blogs anyway. Join in the fun!

  5. I've done #1 quite a few times myself. We have Wonder Woman at the drive-in but I'm afraid it will be a crazed crowd so I'm staying home for now. Have a great weekend!

  8. Sorry to hear that you've been feeling blah. Hope your weekend is better! Fonzi sounds like my girl Waffles when it comes to rain. She hates getting her feet wet so I have to coax her outside for potty breaks! Such a spoiled doggie! #getsocial17

    1. He doesn't mind the rain but it just limits how often we can go out and he gets very dramatic lol

      Poor Waffles hehe

  9. I agree with the blah's. I saw WW on my birthday and we have seen Guardians too. We also finally got beauty and the beast. My thoughts are still the same after seeing it again. More acting

  12. I want to see Wonder Woman too- and hopefully Guardians of the Galaxy.

That Get Social event looks fun, I'll have to check out the linky! And I can't wait to read both Warcross and There's Someone in your House.

Looking forward to Orphan Black this weekend.

  13. Oh man I feel you on the rain. That was us last week. *flails* I'm the opposite with reading. I read in like 5-10 minute segments then have to get up and move around. Reader ADD I guess. lol

    1. That's good though! When I get too absorbed I hurt my back, neck, shoulders, dehydrate lol If it's the Kindle, then I get carpel tunnel syndrome lol

  15. We've had some surprising rain here. Days when we weren't supposed to get it. I hate rainy days because none of our 8 dogs wants to go out in the grass when it is raining, which means we normally end up with messes in the house. It's frustrating for sure.

I haven't quite gotten around to everyone on #GetSocial17 yet, so I'm hoping I get to everyone today.

  17. I did think it was only me with #1. I've never heard of another reader not eating for a while because they are simply too absorbed in a book. This makes me feel better. 10 hours is a long time to read a book though...
I liked Beauty and the Beast to an extent. I thought Emma Watson was boring. No emotion.
It's been raining all week here too!
    Thanks for visiting #getsocial17

Yeah, Emma was perfect looking but very blah.

  18. That first one was definitely me when I was reading my latest review book. I started at 7 in the morning and then all of a sudden, it's 9 at night and I'm starving and have to pee bad. I also had a ticked off dog who had to resort to bugging my mom to play with her. Apparently I'm programed to feed her because witnesses say I did that while still reading. I don't remember but since my Hayley didn't strangle me with her tail I'll assume it's true.

  19. I am totally one of those people who forgets to eat when I get toe absorbed in things lol. Books, Sims, anything really :-P

I still haven't seen beauty and the beast, and honestly I don't know if I'm going to. It was never my favorite Disney movie, and it just kinda seems like it's gonna be disappointing. Glad you enjoyed the other movies though!

    1. I wasn't all that enthused to see it but it looked well done and it was gorgeous - followed the book/movie but it had no heart. It felt like they were all going through the motions and that was it. I did like the Beast though.
