August reading wrap-up

August was a very productive reading month for me. I guess my idea to post what I needed to read really did give me the kick in the pants I was hoping for!

This was my TBR pile reading goal for August (in addition to A Lady’s Guide to Skirting Scandal by kelle Bowen & A Wish Upon Jasmine by Laura Florand for review – not pictured) - Initial post link

I read everything except Another Day by David Levithan and that’s because I still would like to read the companion novel  Every Day first and I need to buy it.

In addition to my reading goals, I read several more books for a total of 13 for the month of August.

Karen has completed her goal of reading 100 books in 2015!

Since that worked out so well for me, I’m going to try to keep it and have my next set of reading goals posted the first week of September. And I guess I’ll update my challenge to either 125 or 150 on Goodreads.

  2. Congrats on reaching 100 books, and you got a lot read in August. That's awesome! I really should do these monthly updates - keep track of what I've read or at least reviewed in the recent past. haha

    1. Sometimes keeping track and posting makes feel too pressured but in this case it helped me.

I was happy to get through those BEA books plus a few that had been on my shelf for years.

  3. Yay for you - I also have a 150 book GR goal and no matter how much I read, I'm always 5-6 books behind. Bah! Just plugging along the best I can....

  4. YaY! I'm glad you made your goals. The Goodreads one is so easy to get especially when they start you off with 100 books. ;) I also need to read the David Levithan books.

    1. Do you keep track on Goodreads? I have a read-2015 folder and a folder for each month so I can see the totals. At the end of the year I delete the monthly folders.

  8. WOW Karen!! That's amazing! I am always so impressed with those who can read so much...I struggle to make my 100 book goal every year and some years don't make it!

And yes...definitely read Every Day first...then let it sink in a while before picking up Another Day.

    1. Luckily, I'm a fast reader (1 book per day) but I've been taking a week or so break every month so I don't get burned out.
