Reader ramblings: Here’s the plan!

Every once in awhile I need something to get me re-focused regarding my reading a reviewing. I don’t do well with planners and challenges so I thought I might do a post on occasion of bloggerly things that need doing for the week and see if it helps keep me on track.

Books I want to read:

11366397 17566585 17840751 13206828-1

The Program by Suzanne Young – I’ve been dying to read this book for so long. I downloaded it while it was on sale and I really want to get to it before the end of the year.

Dangerous Seduction by Zoe Archer – This is a review book but I love Archer’s writing and I’m hearing great things about this one so it should be a fun read.

Write reviews:

The Disrespectful Interviewer by Lauren Baratz-Logstead – I was supposed to review this book many months ago but it got lost in the shuffle.

Cress (Lunar Chronicles, #3) by Marissa Meyer – I read this a few weeks ago and I have to hurry up and get my thoughts written before they fly away…

Blogger tasks:

I’m going to be part of The Heartbreakers Blog Tour the week of February 9th-14th. (link for promotional trailer) 14 contemporary YA/NA authors will be participating and a pre-loaded Kindle Fire are up for grabs. Very cool!

I need to come up with two questions for each author by the 20th of December. Interviews are my blogger Achilles heel so I’ve delayed as long as I can. I’VE GOT TO GET this task done – stat!

This was my biggest and most important task...DONE!

Non-blogger stuff:

I have two more episodes of Orphan Black – season #1 to watch.

I want to plant a winter garden with greens like Swiss Chard, lettuces and herbs. I’ve got the beds arranged – I just need to buy dirt and plants.

Do something nice!

Untitled-3Two of my favorite bloggers, Mellissa from Books and Things & Felicia from The Geeky Blogger’s Book Blog are celebrating their four legged friends December birthdays with a giveaway! Ends December 20th

Do something good for animals – volunteer or donate supplies at a shelter, rescue a cat/dog, donate to an animal charity, blog about helping animals – then head over here and let Melissa know and you’re entered to win one of two $15 gift cards to either Amazon or B&N. Open to international entries.

Because it’s my baby boys birthday today – I donated to the Warrior Canine Connection

  3. Aww, happy birthday, Indy!

I can't wait to see what you think of Cress. I absolutely ADORED IT and now I lurk all over my feed looking for reviews so I can gush with someone. It was my favorite book of the series by far!

I hope you get to The Program soon! That book KILLED me. Top 10 of 2013 for sure. Everything about it was wonderful, but it was also really, really, really sad and not very easy to read at some points. I hope you love it though, as it does seem to be divisive.

Good luck on all your goals!

I really liked Cress. I do think Wolf and Scarlett are still my faves though

  4. Aw, happy birthday to your beautiful pup! I'm impressed that you're doing a winter garden -- I can't even get motivated to do a summer one. *sigh*

    1. I don't garden in the summer - it's just to darn hot and buggy here (FL).
