Sunday Ramblings…

I’ve been a very good reader this summer! I’ve read 7 of my BEA books so far, 5 Kindle, 4 older TBR and about 6 review books since the beginning of June. Yay me!

I’ve also made time to watch more movies – something I used to love but set aside for reading/blogging.

We watched End of Watch with Jake Gynenhaal. I loved this movie! I wasn’t quite sure where it was going at times which was fantastic. ( Watch on Netflix)

And yes...I totally watched and loved Sharknado! I love bad SyFy movies and this was the best bad movie of them all! Syfy will be airing it again Thursday at 7pm ET (Best Sharknado clips via Syfy)

Next up is Pitch Perfect because everyone keeps telling me that I need to watch it!

And a fun teaser trailer for How to Train Your Dragon 2 via MovieclipsTRAILERS. There isn’t much about what the actual movie will be about but I’ll take it. I loved the first movie. Too bad it’s not out until June of 2014.

BOOKS!

I bought MORE books but it’s ok. I’ve already read these lol There was a big author signing event in Orlando a few weeks ago called Book Bash and a few of my absolute favorite authors were there.

I met Nyrae Dawn, Katja Millay (& said the most embarrassing thing – which I will not tell you but I will be mortified forever – because I turn into a doofus when talking to strangers) and TAMMARA WEBBER!! I got a singed book from each of them (2 by Nyrae!)

Review: Secrets and Lies by jody Keplinger

Around the inter webs!

~ I would like to point you in the direction of this awesome post by author, Tracey Garvis Graves, about trends in publishing and “trend saturation”. It’s like she was inside my head! And of course she articulated it much better than I ever could.

~ One of my favorite bloggers, Felicia from Geeky Bloggers Book Blog, started a Facebook Page called Friends Saving Animals in Need. They’ll be posting about pets needing homes, tips, HEA stories for animals that find there forever home and more.

Happy Sunday!

  1. I love that SyFy goes out of its way to create such awesome cheese! A great station. And, speaking of cheese, Pitch Perfect was really cute and cheesy, too!

  4. I wasn't going to watch Sharknado, but I opened Twitter and the hashtag was everywhere! So I watched the last 25 minutes. That was enough. Awesome, hysterically bad, and so much fun to watch along with the Twitter feed -- but I feel no need to catch the first hour and a half.

The climax -- well, that was priceless. I don't need to see any more!

    1. That scene is epic. If you only got to watch 25 minutes - that was the 25 minutes to see but it was all fantastic.

You did miss a few cheesetastic lines lol

  6. I started Sharknado, but got too tired & had to call it a night. (It's still on my DVR, though) I used to watch more movies & your post makes me think I need to make more time for them again. And I'll just add that I LOVE Pitch Perfect! One of the few movies I own. Happy watching & reading :)

    1. Kevin and I used to go to the matinee every Tuesday (free popcorn day!) but haven't in years. I'm still trying to catch up on everything.

    2. Yeah, my life's been off balance lately. I'm forcing myself to take some time off & spend time with the kids & hubby. I haven't been able to read a book in one sitting in months, though, which makes me a little sad. But we went to Disneyland & I get to see my extended family next week. I keep yelling at the summer to slow the hell down! Lol

  9. Sharknado was the last thing Cory Monteith tweeted about...strange last words to leave behind. I think it sounds awesome in a really bad way.
