Tune in Tuesday: Tegan & Sara, Biffy Clyro, Linkin Park, Cayucas

Tune In Tuesday is a weekly feature in which bloggers get to showcase another one of their loves, music! The feature was originally created and hosted by Ginger over at GReads! but can now be found over at Kate’s Tales of Books and Bands.

I’ve been listing to a lot of new (to me) music this week so I’ll get right to it!

Back in Your Head – Tegan and Sara. I don’t really like the radio version of this song but they sang a beautiful acoustic version on AltNation last week. I can’t find that one online but this is from a performance a few years ago. It sounds a little sadder and raw acoustic and I’m all about sad songs. lol

Black Chandelier – Biffy Clyro. I think Biffy Clyro sounds just like Snow Patrol! That’s a good thing since I love SP.

Castle of Glass - Linkin Park. I heard this song for the first time Sunday. (I guess I live in a cave) LOVE.

High School Lover – Cayucas. I never really liked this song before but then I was driving around the other day, windows down, sun shining and this came on. All of a sudden I’m tapping my foot and singing along. What do you guys think of it?

OK – I’ll stop there so I have something for next week!

    1. I'm not a T&S fan either. I just happened to catch that song on AltNation last week. I only like the acoustic version though.

    1. My husband knew it already and I guess it's the theme song to a video game. I guess we're out of the loop lol

  5. Yay Tegan and Sara! I love Black Chandelier too. I'm still a little undecided about Cayucas. I've been hearing the song on the radio a lot though. Listening to the Linkin Park song for the first time right now - I like it although it's a little low key for them. I'm also fond of a new song called Woodpile by White Rabbit, a Scottish group.

I'm looking at your playlist. I love Dust and Bones too. A few other songs I've been loving lately: Harbour Lights by A Silent Film, San Francisco by The Mowglis, a silly song called Bom Bom by Sam and the Womp plus three older songs via Pandora: Welcome Home, Son by Radical Face (love!), This Sweet Love by James Yuill, and The Girl by City and Coulour. Have you heard any of these?

Have you ever listened to Cloud Cult? They're one of my favorite bands. They have a new album out called Love.

    1. I know Harbour Lights but that's it from your list. I'm writing them all down :-)

I didn't like the Cayucas song for months now 0 then all of a sudden I did. I think it was just the mood I was in that day lol

I haven't been listing to the radio too much so I'm just catching up on all the new music.

  11. Hmm...never heard "High School Lover" before, and I'm also not sure if I liked it. But I did find myself bopping along, so it must have grabbed me somewhat!

    My pick for this week.

  15. Ooh! I love that acoustic version! It really does make it sound so different. I love when that happens. I really enjoyed the song by Biffy Clyro, too... never heard it before! I agree, can't go wrong with Linkin Park, really. As for High School Lover... is it weird that I kind of like it?! Hee hee. Once again, you have blown me away with your awesome musical tastes.
