In My Mailbox

In My Mailbox is hosted by The Story Siren as a way to show the books we've won/bought/borrowed for the week.

Small batch this week. I do not need anymore books and I was a good girl. I only bought one.

Hellfire & Shady Lady by Ann Aguirre - thank you Ann! (pretty note card!)

The Darkly Luminous Fight for Persehpone Parker by Leanna Renee Hieber

- this was $1.99 at Walmart!! $1.99!!!! Seriously I HAD to buy it. It would have been criminal not to.

I think Indy is giving me a judgmental look don't you? If you could see his eyes through all the black fur they would be rolling and he would be saying "mom you do. not. need. any. new. books. Ever."

What did you get??

  1. Even though it isn't large, it's an awesome bunch of books you've got there. I got several books this week, but the one I'm most excited about is Deadworld by J.N. Duncan.

  3. Only three books for Glen Coco, you go Glen Coco!

Sorry, there was this weird Mean Girls quote going around Twitter this week that left me with the unbearable urge to type weird things like that...

Ann Aguirre books. *happiness* Good for you!

  4. I got enough books last week but received a GC for my birthday a few days ago so bought another seven books. Now I need a new set of bookshelves. Last time I bought a new set of bookshelves...less than three weeks ago! I need professional help. :)

  5. You Dropped a Blonde on Me (enjoying it immensely -- though I bought this in Kindle form, does that count?), Where She Went (NEXT!), and the final two Traveling Pants books from the Goodreads swap. UGH, my to-read list is over 40 (!), some of which isn't out yet, some of which is out but not yet purchased... and much of which sits in stacked piles in various places around the house. (The one on my nightstand was teetering recently and I had to move a few lest a cat topple it during the night and bury me...).

  6. I've not read any of Aguirre's books, but she's been popping up a lot lately. Is there a book you recommend starting with?

  7. @Jennifer - Her YA debut Enclave was amazing if you like dystopian but I first found out about her reading Grimspace - the Sirantha Jax series. Love it. Romance - sci-fi/paranormal. very good even if you don't think you like sci-fi.
The books in the pic are new series to me - so I haven't started it yet. Skin Game was good too (written under Ava Gray) - but I didn't like Skin Tight as much.
