Better Know A Blogger: Kitt - Paperback Dolls

We're in the homestretch for Better Know A Blogger - just a few more to go and today I'm welcoming another Paperback Doll - Kitt.

*What is your name/blogger name? Kitt (KittNLuv)

*What is the name of your blog? Paperback Dolls

*Do you have an auto-buy author, someone whose writing is so good, you have to read every single thing they write? Kim Harrison, Ilona Andrews and Karen Marie Moning

*Who is your all-time favorite couple in literature, and why? (Or favorite male/female character)
My favorite couple? Kate Daniels/Curran from the Magic series no question. Some of my favorite characters include Crispin "Bones" Russell from Night Huntress, Algaliarept from Hollows, Gin Blanco from Elemental Assassin, and Vishous from Black Dagger Brotherhood.

Karen: I'm new to the Kate Daniels series but Kate & Curran jumped right to the top of my favorite couples list.

*Do you have an e-reader? Do you prefer e-books or regular books, or use both? I only read bound copies. I could go on a rant to why I hate ecopies, but I'll save your ears. ;) Mostly, though, I just love the look, feel, and smell of books.

Karen: I think even those of us with e-reader's are still fans of the printed book. From all the responses in this feature almost all of us buy our favorites to have & to hold :-) I know that for me personally I don't like re-reading books on my kindle so I buy all my favorites.

*What are your Top 5 picks for the best books of 2010?

Black Magic Sanction (Rachel Morgan/Hollows 9) Kim Harrison
Magic Bleeds (Kate Daniels/Magic 4) Ilona Andrews
An Artificial Night (October Daye 3) Seanan McGuire
Married by Morning (Hathaways 4) Lisa Kleypas
One Dance with a Duke (Stud Club 1) Tessa Dare

Karen: I've heard a lot about the October Daye series and Stud Club?? I'm intrigued o_O

*What book or series has been sitting in your TBR the longest? Hmm.. well, of the books I own, I actually have a couple because I buy books online and always get 10 or more in each package, but I think Julie Kenner's Blood Lily Chronicles (Tainted, Torn, and Turned) has been there the longest. I do have every intention to read them.... eventually. As for my Goodreads TBR, Yasmine Galenorn's Sisters of the Moon. I know I want to read them. I've heard good things about them. It's just whenever I have a chance to, I always reach for something else. Maybe one day...

*What's the best thing about blogging and reviewing books? Sharing the books I love with the girls and visa versa. There are tons of books we've found out about because of blogging, but since there are five of us, not everything we read makes it on to our site. We still trade books, stories, and opinions on everything we read. AND it also lets me show my geeky side when I re-do our site every month. :)

Karen: I don't review every book I read either but I do have great discussions about what did and didn't work about a book with my friends and fellow bloggers. It's such a great community and honestly my husband can only discuss the Black Dagger Brotherhood so often.

Thanks for stopping by Kitt!!

  1. Hi Kitt & Karen. I just want to say that Kitt was instrumental in convincing me to read the Highlander series by KMM. And that was a miracle. So, basically, I read whatever Kitt says I should. And well Karen, I read whatever you say I should too. I stuck with Downside because of you and really love it!

  3. Hey, Kitt! I love that you listed Kate and Curran. They were my favorite couple as well. And I've been told to read Julie Kenner for 2 years now. I fully intend to...

  4. Hi Kitt & Karen!

Just stopping by to say that over the last few years I've loved reading Kitt's reviews and both commiserating and debating the better and lesser points of our reads.

But really, Kitt, do tell us how you really feel about ebooks (since I know it's going to be diametrically opposed to my own!) :D
