For What It's Worth

I got nothing.............

I guess I'm not just in a Paranormal Pfunk but in a total summer meltdown.....yup, I'm blaming the 105 degree weather we've been having for my extreme laziness. I've been reading but the reviews just aren't coming to me.....so since I've been so critical of everything lately I'm going to leave you today with some entertaining (at least I think so) quotes about criticism.

"Honest criticism is hard to take - especially when it comes from a relative, a friend, an acquaintance, or a stranger."
Franklin P. Jones

"I didn't like the play. But I saw it under unfavorable circumstances - the curtains were up."
Groucho Marx

And my personal favorite..........

"Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, if he gets angry, he'll be a mile away - and barefoot."
Sarah Jackson

May you be more productive than me today................

Karen

  1. I get what you're saying. In this summer weather, in which i thought I would be reading non-stop, going through tons of books, i've barely got through 1!! I to, blame the weather.

  2. ... until you've walked a mile in someone else's shoes, you can't imagine the smell ... :P

Sorry, that's the first think that came to mind! I've been writing a review for 2 days now, lol, think my brain is frozen ... see, it isn't just the heat that does this to us bloggers!

  3. Oh Karen, I know the feeling! Been there done that.. I also prefer not to write a bitter and ranting review if I feel my feelings are somewhat influenced by some other reasons than just the booka nd the writing. Wait it out, it will hopefully pass, and make sure to pick up some books that are guaranteed to be good and that you'll enjoy! :-)
