CONTEST!

Packing for Mars: The Curious Science of Life in the Void
This weeks contest is for an ARC of Packing for Mars: The Curious Science of Life in the Void by Mary Roach! (release date 8/2/2010)

Check out my review HERE.

This is a great book if you love science, space exploration, history....... or even if you don't - like myself. Roach approaches the topic with a sense of humor & intelligence which makes for a fantastic laugh out loud read!

*Tell me - is there anywhere in space you would like to be able to visit? Mars - the moon - another planet?? Not me...I'll just stay firmly planted on earth and read about it! Do you think we should be traveling to Mars??

  1. I'm not so sure about space travel. I mean...why? So far we know of no place humans could live except for Earth. As for me, I'm happy where I am too. No space for me :)

  4. To be an astronaut is my dream. Though it sounds impossible, I would love to explore new galaxies and unknown regions of our own. However, now we must take baby steps, so I wouldn't mind going to the moon or Mars!

  7. Yes I definitely think we should be travelling to Mars preferebly with me as part of the team. Failing that I would be happy just to get into space even if it was just a quick trip in Earth orbit.

  12. Ooh don't know about space exploration. I'd love to see another planet that had life on it (as in non-deadly-to-us life, more like pretty flowers and hummingbirds and stuff :D), or a red planet like Mars would be fascinating. But if I could choose to travel anywhere, honestly I'd probably pick somewhere on our own planet. Rome - the pyramids - even England. Just somewhere outside the normal sphere of day-to-day life (for me), to experience a different culture and history... that's what I'd love to do. (And hope to do one day, too. :)

  15. Well, it depends on if there's life in some planet. If there is, then I would go, just to see how people/creatures live there.
