It's a Wrap{up}

How cute are these *deviled eggs* I got for Easter decor??!!

LIFE

I'm skipping TMST this week because the question is: Which books are you looking forward to reading this Spring? (April-June) and I have no idea what I'm reading today, never mind this spring lol

Feel free to give your answer in the comments though if you want.

Life: I'm loving spring and finally being able to work in the garden again. The weather is wacky though so it's one day out in the sunshine, the next hiding inside from the hail.

I hurt my shoulder working out and I get this hideous sharp pain when I reach my arm across my chest so I'm waiting to get a Dr. appointment set up. I'm also having more problems with breathing - I doubt COIVD related but more likely an advancement of my asthma or GERD. It's my birthday month and I'm feeling every bit of my 50 *something, something* age right now lol

So anyway - here are a few things I've been listening to/watching/reading lately.

MUSIC

Florence + the Machine has new music out and it's gloriously weird and wonderful. My favorite is this one - Heaven is Here but  King (Kevin's favorite) and My Love are great too.

I've seen her in concert a few times and she has such a presence that is really captured in this video. It's almost a cultish vibe with people throwing gifts at her the whole time while she floats around the stage lol

STREAMING

Severence - AppleTV - I hate when shows move so slow and then everything exciting happens in the last 2 episodes and you're left with a cliffhanger. Welp, that's what happened here. It's a really interesting concept and show but I doubt I'll follow it to S2 (or have AppleTV then)

Slow Horses - AppleTV - We started this after Severence. It's basically a group of MI5 rejects, led by Gary Oldman, trying to redeem themselves. Kind of fun so far.

Moon Knight - Disney+ - I did not expect to like this one but I'm intrigued. The story feels fresh, Oscar Isaac is really good and it's got a darker vibe which I like.

READING

Gone Dark by Amanda Panitch - goodreads Still reading this a month later lol No reflection on the book! It's a fun YA survivalist story. Hope to finally finish it this week.

Witch Please by Ann Aguirre - goodreads I started this on audio the other day and it's just a ray of adorkable sunshine so far.

And I reviewed Duke, Actually by Jenny Holiday. there was a weird posting glitch where it went from draft to posting several weeks back so it got a bit lost so I thought I would let you know about it if interested and you missed it. Cute romance!

  1. Deviled eggs LOL.

At least you hurt because you do stuff (gardening, exercising). I probably only hurt from typing and clicking...I hope a doctor will be able to help you and won't suggest holy water like mine did...😠

  3. Those deviled eggs are so cute! I love them, lol. I'm sorry you hurt your shoulder. I hope it heals quickly. I hope your breathing gets better too.

Yay for our birthday month! And, yeah, I understand about feeling your age. I'm the same. I often wish I were still in my 20s or even 30s, lol.

  6. It's funny because I've been telling everyone I hate spring 🤣

We had beautiful weather for a week in March then it went back to snow. Blah.

Do you have to watch Hawkeye to watch Moon Knight?

    1. I haven't so I guess not?? Lol

They say they aren't connected in any way.

Why do you hate spring? Pollen? Bad weather?

  7. I like how dark Moon Knight is too, and the London setting, but I didn't love the first episode. Looking forward to #2 though! I'm still watching Yellowjackets and started snowpiercer also. And yeah I'm not a fan either of when a show waits til the last minute and then dumps everything.

Did you ever watch Travelers? I miss that show...

    1. I feel about the same, although I think I liked it a little more than you. But love lol but I thought it was fun and different. Definitely enough to continue.

Did you ever watch Battlestar Galactica? The newer one. In the latter seasons, it would drag and drag and if be ready to give up and then the last 2 episodes were AMAZING and would hook me again lol
I have not seen Travelers. I'm relatively new to binge watching and hardly watched regular TV anymore.

    2. I did not see Battlestar galactica but I've heard people really liked it? It has Katee Sackhof in it, I know that much, and I've liked her in a few things...

You should try Travelers. It's got whats his dude in it (Eric McCormack from will and Grace- just looked it up) It's very binge worthy :)

    3. I can't believe you haven't seen that! I don't really like sci-fi/ space stuff but I freaky enjoyed that one. Except for Katee - I hated her lol

I might suggest Travelers for my buddy watch.

    4. Really? Haha I kinda liked her in what I've seen her in, but yea...

      Dude YES watch Travelers!!!

  8. I'm back, ha ha! 😁

I was saying I read an article a few years back that said in dreams houses represent ourselves, and the rooms are aspects of things we are dealing with, or hoping for. I've been looking for that article again ever since my first Kindle died, and I lost all my tabs. If I find it again I'll give you the link. I dream about houses and finding rooms all the time. 🏠

I hope you were able to find relief for your shoulder pain. 😔

We've had spring popping up here and there, but it always dips back down into the 30s during the day and teens at night after a day or two. We are supposed to get more snow on Saturday. 🙄

    1. NY is awful at spring time lol I remember planting all my flowers and it snowing the first week of June.

That's interesting about the rooms. It's almost always an old house and me finding loads of old furniture. Although my most recent dream was a new, all white rooms house with brand new furniture still wrapped in plastic.

    2. I was talking to my friend who has similar dreams and what's funny is I find this to be a huge burden (to find all the old furniture) and stress how to get rid of it all - while she is excited to discover old things lol

Maybe that's why I finally had a dream with new furniture. It was a sleep sofa and I was thinking about redoing my spare room for when my niece comes. She's usually on an air mattress lol

  11. Those eggs are super cute. I've not gotten out any of my Easter decorations this year, and probably won't. I did put out some Cadbury Mini Eggs, tho. I hope you get in to the doctor soon and that the breathing issues are resolved also. Happy April.

    1. I don't really decorate but saw these on sale and had to get one lol

Dr appointment is in 2 weeks! I could have gotten in sooner to see whoever is on standby but I haven't had great luck with that in the past so I'll try to wait.

  13. Happy April Birthday. As a fellow 50-somethinger I feel your pain - literally. I'm not sure what I did the other day but every time I moved my arm I got a shooting pain in my elbow. Thankfully it had gone by the following day but I do feel as though I'm falling apart as I get older 😂

I love the devilled eggs you got.
