It's a Wrap(up): Life, watching, reading...

 This was A WEEK.

😱😱😱😱

Just last week it was 80 and I was putting out the deck furniture, eating outside. Then this week an unexpected snowstorm came and dumped 13 inches of heavy snow on us. Followed by several days of heavy rains and hail. That seems to have ended but it's been cold and rainy.

My garden seems to have escaped damage other than a few snapped tulips but so many cherry trees in the area broken straight down the middle just after being in full bloom 😒Bleh....It puts me in a mood lol

That's my neighbors yard on the other side of the fence and the shorter tree next to the two very tall ones lost several limbs.

On the plus side, the dogs were THRILLED and exhausted themselves trying to jump through the snow.

WATCHING

AppleTv - I thought I finished Severance a few weeks ago and decided I wouldn't continue with it. Then I realized there was one more episode and damn it! It was SO good that I might give it another go lol If I still have Apple by then. There's not a whole lot of programing I like on there. Continuing Slow Horses - it's a pretty good MI5 spy (rejects) drama.

Disney+ - Still watching Moon Knight and I still really like it!

Amazon Prime - They finally added The Proposal to Prime and I'm soooo excited. I could watch this movie 1 million times. Monday is my birthday so my friend and I are having our weekly virtual movie date and watching this. Upload S2 - I actually watched this a few weeks ago and forgot to mention it until Jen (That's What I'm Talking About) mentioned it. It's a really fun series.

READING

I finished Gone Dark by Amanda Pannitch - I need to write my review but it was a fun survivalist/road trip book with a slightly let down ending.

Listening to Witch Please by Ann Aguirre - SO adorable!

August of the Zombies by K.G. Campbell - this is the last book in this mid-grade series. The author very kindly sent a signed copy and it's action packed fun so far.

Gouda Friends by Cathy Yeardley on Kindle Unlimited - Fun friends to more romance with lots of cheese lol

That's all I have for now!

What have you been watching/reading/doing?

And Happy Easter Sunday if you celebrate.

*fun fact! I was born on Easter Sunday but it hasn't fallen on Easter again since 1993

  3. Are you sure your dogs aren't foxes in disguise? or better...bunnies? πŸ˜‚

The weather there sounds brutal! Then again, it's been kind of crazy here too, in its own way - April was colder than it should have been, and though now we're having milder temps, they are supposed to drop again in the next days.

Happy birthday in advance! I know you aren't the celebration type, but at least treat yourself with something yummy πŸ˜‰. And happy Easter!

    1. Shunnies? Belties? Lol

We just had a pretty intense thunder storm and hail today. Tomorrow is supposed to be 60's and sunny. I have no idea what's going on anymore.

I don't have parties or anything but you know I'll have something good to eat and probably but a few plants 😜

  5. Oh wow look at all that snow! It's been cold here too but the last few days have been sunnier, at least.

I have to watch the latest Moon Knight but I'm not loving it as much as some- not sure why. Upload I'll have to look into- another blogger mentioned it to me as well a few weeks ago.

Happy birthday! Hope you have a great Easter!

    1. I demand my spring back!

It is a really weird show lol

I do think you would like Upload though. It's a fun, easy little show but also kind of thought provoking.

  6. Ok, that weather is insane. How do you go from being sat outside enjoying the weather to being inside with heaps of snow outside? Weather is crazy. I added Slow horses to my watch list after you said you'd been enjoying it. I mean, it's got Gary Oldman in so surely it should be decent? I'm 100% with you about The Proposal, I think it's been on prime for a while here in the UK but it's been on the TV loads as well and it's one of those films which never gets old no matter how many times I see it.

    1. I watch The Proposal every single time I see it in TV. I can never watch it too many times.

It's new to our prime because we've been trying to do a busy watch of it for years.

Let me know if you like Slow Horses. It's a quirky little show.

I've been watching Longmire and I really like it.

    1. It's ridiculous. None of this is even normal weather for where I'm at.

Quite a few people I know love that show but I haven't seen it yet.

  8. Wow, what a switch in the weather. That's crazy.
I've never seen The Proposal. I like Sandra Bullock but somehow I missed that one.

  9. I love The Proposal. It's one of my favorite Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds movies. Happy birthday on Monday. :) My husband and I are going to see the new Fantastic Beasts movie on Tuesday for my birthday. I hope we both have a great time! :D

    1. Happy birthday my almost b-day twinsie!

I was thinking of going to The Lost City this week.

I could watch The Proposala million times and not get sick of it, which is rare for me.

  10. Happy Birthday!! And Happy Easter. My daughter's 1st and 6th birthdays were on Easter, but it won't happen again until she's in her mid-80s. That snow still amazes me. I lived in Seattle from 1994-2000, so I know how rare that type of snow is, especially in mid-April. Those poor trees.

We binged s2 of The Hardy Boys (Hulu). That's a great one, if you haven't watched it.M Mystery solving with a slight paranormal aspect. Other than that, we haven't started any new shows.

    1. Oh that's cool. My mom's birthday was the 15th so tax day isn't a fun one lol

Yesterday we had a thing called thunder snow. The sun was shining and then all of a sudden I see lightening and snow starts coming down hard with thunder. It lasted about 15 minutes, stopped and the sun came back out and it all melted.

At this point I wouldn't be surprised if a category 5 hurricane blew through next week lol

  11. HAPPY BIRTHDAy!!! I hope you have a fun birthday. Spring birthdays are the best. BUT the weather lately, is bananas. Its why I hate the weather in April, you just never know what you will get and I am so ready for warm weather.

  12. The weather really is wild lately. Bummer about the trees. At least the dogs liked it! As a kid, I always wanted Easter to fall on my bday, idk why lol. Can't remember if your bday is passed or coming up, but happy birthday!

    1. SO wild!! I told a friend that if a cat5 hurricane blew through here next week I would not be surpassing surprised lol

It was Monday but I spent it at the Dr's lol

I'm always sad that it doesn't fall on Easter anymore. It did twice as a kid and I loved it.

  18. Yep! We had similar weather here in the UK recently. People (at least those hardier than me} were braving short and t-shirts, pulling barbecues out of garages/garden sheds and then ... snow, though not as much as fell where you are.

Loving the cover/sound of Witch Please, August of the Zombie and Gouda Friends ... GoneDark not so much. I look forward to reading your thoughts on them.

  19. I had some cold weather and flurries, but nothing quite like the snow you got! LOL I hope things start to settle down weather wise for you. I've been watching FBI and FBI: Most Wanted. I really enjoy them. I've also been reading the A Court of Thorns and Roses series all month, and I'm on the final (for now) book. I really like them!
