That's a Wrap (up)!

Here's a quick wrap-up for the week to keep me on track with blogging  (THREE posts this week!) and share what I'm doing (it's not reading lol) and loving.

CHRISTMAS MOVIES

πŸŽ„ A Castle for Christmas on Netflix: Was it a little cheesy and predictable? Yes. But it was sweet, funny, the gowns were gorgeous, the small town delightful. an older couple falling in love! and Cary Elwes!!!

πŸŽ… Single All the Way - Netflix: Super cute BFF's to more Christmas romance. It often got too chaotic and over-the-top but still fun. I usually hate interfering, nosy family but Peter's dad and manipulative cousins were a hoot and his best friend Nick was the most awesome, patient guy ever.

πŸŽ„ I think I already mentioned Love Hard - Netflix: but I'll re-up my recommendation in case I didn't. One of my favorites this year.

🀢 An Unexpected Christmas - Hallmark : Really liked this one! It had a more modern feel than most Hallmark movies. Lots of snarky banter - 2nd chance romance, fake relationship and an awesome sister! Re-airing on December 18th 6pm/5pm Central if you didn't catch it the first time.

Daisy The Great & AJR - Record Player

I thought this was a ridiculous song at first but it's kind of retro and catchy and now I love it lol

For the first time in a while, I've received several books for review. So now I have to read them lol

I'm finishing up Annabeth Albert's Christmas The Geek Who Saved Christmas  and it's adorable, festive and fun. (a Kindle Unlimited book)

I'm still working on Roxy by Neal & Jarrod Schusterman.

The Lucky Escape by Laura Jane Williams looks like a really fun romcom (pub date 11/21)

All the Right Reasons by Bethany Mangle is described as a Gilmore Girls/ The Bachelor mash up. Honestly, I don't like either of those shows lol but the premise still sounded good to me. (pub date 2/22)

Anything But Fine by Tobias Madden - Luca, a rising ballet student breaks his foot and then has to decide what he wants to do next and it might involve the cute rowing start and school captain. This has many rave reviews so fingers crossed! (pub date 1/22)

What have you been up to this week? Any recommendations?

  3. Wow, I haven't seen Cary Elwes in a minute. An Unexpected Christmas sounds like one of the better ones. I'll have to see if it's available to stream.

    2. YES Yelena is badass. Although I haven't seen the new episode with her in it yet lol...

I never liked the Matrix but I'm reading a book now that argues we're all living in a Matrix- like simulation. It's wild.

    3. So far, I liked the first Matrix movie - the 2nd? eh

There are definitely a lot of parallels to current life and I'm really wishing someone would just put me in the fake world where I could be oblivious and happy lol I don't care if it's fake. Ha!

  12. I haven't watched the Hallmark channel one - so I'll add it to my list. Loved Love Hard. Single All the Way was cute but the characters were a bit over the top for me. I enjoyed it, but won't be adding it to the rewatch list. I cannot get my girl to watch the other one... She says it looks boring *eyeroll* Anyhow, we just finished a rewatch of both MCU Spiderman Movies in preparation for No Way Home out this weekend. We have tickets for Sunday. Other than that, it's business as usual.
