Tell Me Something Tuesday

Tell Me Something Tuesday is hosted by Rainy Day Ramblings and discusses a wide range of topics from books to blogging.

Question: It’s the zombie apocalypse: What would you do?

Hide.

I would probably try to find someplace underground to ride it out, with Kevin, of course. Because – let’s face it - I’m going to die without him. He has thought about this a lot and is ready! lol

So let's say that I’m all prepped, have a safe bunker - it’s more about things I wouldn’t do.

~ I would not waste bullets!!! I hate when characters do that in the movies.

~ I wouldn’t open the door to anyone. Sorry. I won’t be your most sympathetic apocalypse gal.

~ I’m too old anyway but I wouldn’t get pregnant lol Babies crying during a zombie invasion is a bad idea.

~ I would never go to a group or government holding facility. Zombies are bad but it’s usually the remaining survivors that will kill you. Trust no one.

~ Never separate!! If we’re out in an abandoned store looking for food – I wouldn’t have Kevin checking for batteries while I’m in the pharmacy. Stay together. ALWAYS.

~ Keep Kevin around if he had been bitten. Sorry Kevin. I would probably kill myself too if it got to that point but we have a pact to shoot each other in the head if we turn. We’re a fun, romantic couple like that – we discuss these things! lol

What would you do (or not do) during the zombie apocalypse?

    1. We do! Lol The pets are the thing that stress me most. Hopefully, they'll just be quiet in our bunker. If they got bit though, I would shoot them. No zombies in our family! Lol

    1. Yeah, I'm heartless about those kinds of things. Sorry, but being kind in those circumstances only gets you killed lol

  4. Oh my gosh that is adorable. the cat/ chicks, I mean. Why can't zombies be that cute? And yes- every time they split up, I'm like nope. You're too dumb to live at this point. Why would ANYONE do that?

  6. You two are hilarious. I am glad that you talk about the tough stuff in your marriage like what to do if a zombie apocalypse happens. Guess I need to sit down with my husband.

  7. Our house is set up with high windows so they can't get in the ground floor windows which is good! I'd block our gates to keep front and back gardens zombie free, keep very quiet and delve into my food stores with my dad! You should have sympathy for us Brits-we have no guns to shoot ourselves if it all goes bad!!!

    1. We don't own any guns either but my husband learned how to shoot while he was in the Navy. So we may or may not die if we can't get our hands on one. I think a machete is probably better with zombies anyway.

  8. Pregnancy never goes well in dystopians or end of the world scenarios. And yes, no opening the door to anyone I don't know or have not checked I know! We need to look out for ourselves :P

  9. Love the cat and 'zombies'!

Oh yeah, you've got a great plan of don'ts. Common sense goes out the windows in horror movies. :)

    1. There would be no movie. Just two hours of people sitting int heir basement or dying within 5 minutes lol

  10. I am totally with you on this one! My plan would definitely be to find somewhere to hide and wait it out.

  11. I'd die. I'd die a horrible, painful, death. I am just not equipped to survive a Zombie Apocalypse. Combine that with living in the UK (so, no guns really) thus having to get up close and personal to do zombie battle and I'd be double dead.

    1. If I'm alone - I die lol I would just wither away while hiding.

The gun thing makes me laugh because it may not seem like it - but not all of us have them lol We'd have access but I'm sure all the places would already be looting - so I'd probably be more likely to get shot than doing the shooting.

  12. I'd never make it. Not on my own, anyway. Maybe if I stuck with Robert. He's an expert marksman so if needed he could make a good head shot and take out a zombie. I'm so with you on not opening the bunker door for *anybody.* LOL Sorry, not happening. And oh yeah, never ever go to the government facility. They're probably the ones that created the zombies in the first place!

    1. That's how I'll be. Kevin knows how to shoot because of the Navy but we don't own any guns.

Never trust the government during an apocalypse!!

  14. Honestly Karen, I'm just playing dead. I don't trust myself with a gun, I don't know how to ionize water, I'm out. I've never killed anything in my life.

  15. I love this! So yeah never, ever split up, goodness people! Though I know I'd probably die because I'd be too nice and open the door for some jerk or another. Sometimes after I read a good apocalypse book I think about all the crap I should learn to do, but then I am just too lazy so I guess unless I track down you and Kevin and convince you to open the door anyway, I'm a goner πŸ˜‚

  17. At least you know what to expect from each other! Also, if you have a bunker and we make plans beforehand... would you let me in? I have children, Karen! Stars... can you imagine trying to survive a zombie apocalypse with three children under the age of 5?? It wouldn't be possible. Not unless we already had a bunker RIGHT by the house and we just moved from one place to the next, but then we'd been stuck together ALL THE TIME. Just... no zombie apocalypses. What about the animals???

It's great that you and Keven discuss these serious issues.

    1. Also, it was so true what you said about people -- way worse than the zombies themselves. Once rules and laws go out the window, people let their darkness out. I think I would stab first and ask questions never.

    2. I'm sorry Lindsi but I'm not opening the door once it shuts lol You need to get there before we close up! hahaha

  18. I live kind of close to my sister and my three nephews, so I think we should have a meet up plan of some sort. Ha ha. My son's friends are pretty savvy from playing strategic group video games online, too, so I think I would want them around, too. I'd like to go back to the old zombie rules where they only move at night and can only move slowly, and not know how to use doorknobs. That would make things so much easier! πŸ’€

I think I would have the same turning pact with my son. πŸ‘✨

And I hate when loved ones let you get all torn apart by a group of zombies while they watch. Please shoot me!!! lol
