Tell Me Something Tuesday is hosted by Rainy Day Ramblings and discusses a wide range of topics from books to blogging.

Today’s question is:

What Are Your  Book Picks for Summer 2017

I know the question was meant as summer of 2017 releases but I’m so far behind on my reading and I’m laser focused on my current TBR shelf so I’m putting my twist on the answer.

These are a few of my older books that I hope to read this summer.

summer reads

(goodreads links in the book title)

CrookCrooked Kingdom (Six of Crows #2) by Leigh Bardugo – I LOVED Six of Crows but I can’t seem to get further than 1/2 way with Crooked Kingdom. I'm just not enjoying it as much. I started it the day it came out but I had personal stuff going on so I’m hoping it was just my frame of mind and I’ll fall in love when I pick it back up.

Queen of Blood by Sara Beth Durst – I enjoy this author and I’m looking forward to this one.

You Know Me Well by Nina LaCour and David Levithan – My friend Jen from YA Romantics loved this so it’s high on my must read list.

Bone Gap by Laura Ruby – I desperately want to read this yet find myself avoiding it. I hear it’s not an easy book and is a little strange so I’m slightly intimidated but it’s supposed to be brilliant.

Have you read any of these? Any thoughts as to what I should read first?

What’s on your summer reading list?

    1. I don't really look anymore. I see them popping up on Twitter or on release day and add them then.

    1. I have the arc's for June in yesterday's post but then I only have 1-2 arc's per month for the rest of the summer. It feels amazing! lol

  3. I think it's fine to go back and pick TBRs, that's what summer is about! I think my biggest MUST READ is Wildfire by Ilona Andrews and Holiday in the Hamptons by Sarah Morgan - both summer 2017 releases.

I am new to your blog, visiting with #getsocial17 event.

    1. You're right! I think summer is for being laid back reading.

The Andrews' series would be on my list too! I need to read books #2 & #3.

  4. I've heard of most of these, but none of them are on my TBR, actually :) I don't think I have a summer reading list! But I think I'll be reading all the HP novels back to back at some point this summer :)

  6. I liked seeing your older picks. I have been trying to go back and get all the books I missed last summer while I was away. I just read Summer Days and Summer Nights. There are some good ones in there. I really liked the short by Bardugo, Grossman and there was one other. I too need to read Crooked Kingdom. Thanks for posting.

  13. I've done the same thing with my summer reading. I'm heading to the TBR pile for the most part with a few review books sprinkled in here and there. Hopefully your Crooked Kingdom works out better now that its sat for a while.
