Boo! A new post...finally

October has been an awful month for me so I’ve taken the last few weeks off but I’m ready to start dipping my toes back in. I haven’t read a thing so I think for a few weeks it will be pictures of book mail and that sort of thing until I play catch up.

For those of you who keep coming back despite my extended absence THANK YOU! All the hugs!

Since it’s Halloween! and I’m going to feature a book that I think is PERFECT for today!

Welcome to Mexico City… An Oasis In A Sea Of Vampires…

Domingo, a lonely garbage-collecting street kid, is busy eking out a living when a jaded vampire on the run swoops into his life.

Atl, the descendant of Aztec blood drinkers, must feast on the young to survive and Domingo looks especially tasty. Smart, beautiful, and dangerous, Atl needs to escape to South America, far from the rival narco-vampire clan pursuing her. Domingo is smitten.

Her plan doesn’t include developing any real attachment to Domingo. Hell, the only living creature she loves is her trusty Doberman. Little by little, Atl finds herself warming up to the scrappy young man and his effervescent charm.

And then there’s Ana, a cop who suddenly finds herself following a trail of corpses and winds up smack in the middle of vampire gang rivalries.

Vampires, humans, cops, and gangsters collide in the dark streets of Mexico City. Do Atl and Domingo even stand a chance of making it out alive?

This book started out as a self-pub GoFundMe campaign and has finally come to fruition and landed in my mailbox. It ended up being picked up by Thomas Dunne Books and got a title change. The cover is GORGEOUS! And just in time for Halloween – vampires! And they sound like the creepy kind – not the romantic kind.

And since I haven’t had any music on here in forever – here’s a bonus video for you all… Blood in the Cut by K.Flay.

  1. Haha, we both woke up at the same time, it seems. Can't let Halloween go unnoticed, can we?
I hope November brings good things your way...and I especially hope it's not going to harm any more of your pets :(.

  3. Welcome back! I'm sorry you've had a bad October. It's nice to see a new post from you though. And ooh a vampire book. I do love vampires, even when they were EVERYWHERE. I just pick and choose the ones I check out.
