Sign up for the 2016 Blogger Shame Review Challenge!

I have mentioned in the past that I am challenge challenged. Other than the Goodreads Reading Challenge I don’t bother joining any these days. It becomes an epic fail and feel like a loser.

Basically, if I’m reading 100’s of dystopian/YA/Debut Authors etc a year and I join a challenge for those books I then have ZERO desire to read them anymore.

But two things changed my mind about joining the 2016 Blogger Shame Review Challenge, hosted by Herding Cats & Burning Soup and Addicted to Happily Ever After.

1.) I had already had the goal of reading the older, neglected books on my shelf in 2016. But as we established above that’s not enough incentive – in fact joining the challenge to read my old books would make me NOT want to read my old books! Yikes– I’m so complicated! lol

Which leads me to…

2.) The challenge button. This is my incentive. I ADORE this button and I want to use it as many times as possible.

See! Look a the cuteness!!

Blogger Shame

Here are the general details (check out Anna’s post for full deets – link above)

Challenge begins Jan 1, 2016 and ends Dec 31, 2016

All review books that have been on your review list for 6+ months count.

Any book format counts.

Crossovers with other challenges are okay.

You pick the number of books for your individual challenge.

Once a quarter there will be a wrap up post to show off progress!

(sign up post--now through jan or whenever you join)

quarter 1 post--end of March
quarter 2 post--end of June
quarter 3 post--end of September
quarter 4 post--end of Dec wrap up post

And incentives (which I don’t need because I just want the button lol)

There will be four giveaways. One each quarter.

Each review you complete during that quarter and link up will enter you into a gift card giveaway!

Here are the books I hope to read for the challenge.

I’m using a two tiered system so I don’t get overwhelmed and freak out.

The first pic are the books I really want to read but just haven’t gotten to yet - and to me – would complete the challenge.

The second pic is of books I would like to read but no pressure…

Good luck, I want to join, but my priorities lie on my teeny business right now. I want to grow it to micro small lol.

    Happy weekend!

    1. I'm hoping that since it was goal for 2016 anyway I'll be able to succeed at this one!

    1. I'm so weird - pressure, goals, and challenges just don't work for me. It's ok if they're broken up into smaller pieces but to list all of the books at once would panic me. But without the challenge I would read them ALL and then some. lol

  7. Good luck!! And I really love that button too. I don't really sign up for challenges either, because I just forget to do them or link up or whatever. lol I might have to look into this one though. I have a lot of old review titles I never got too...

    1. I'm horrible at challenges. I'm hoping the button is enough incentive (& the fact that I visit the host daily) to keep me on track.

  11. LOL your love of the button so makes me smile. Yay for joining in! I like your two tiered system! I'm doing my NG and Edelweiss books as my main goal then maybe trying to do some print ones. (gah I have so much shame! lol)

    1. It's a bit irrational how much I love that button lol

I worked on my Kindle & BEA books this year and didn't allow myself to request more than two at a time on Netgalley so that has stayed under control. But it was at the expense of the books already on my shelf.

  12. I’ve read out of the books you’re going to read: A Court of Thorns and Roses, I’ll Give You the Sun, Joyride, World After, End of Days, The Raven Boys, and The Immortal Rules. I loved them all. I’ll Give You the Sun, World After, End of Days, and The Raven Boys the most. I hope you can get to them!
