For my November Giveaway – I’m going to do something a little different. I signed up for the 5th Annual Black Friday Book Bonanza Hop, hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer & Book Shelfery. I’m not sure what my prize will be yet but I can promise it will be book-ish and be international. So check back her on the 27th!

Then for December it’s my FIFTH year Blogoversary!!! I can’t believe I made it (well I’m not quite there yet but I think I’ll make it lol). I’m thinking up ideas for a fun giveaway so keep that in mind for Dec.

October reading:

Reading started off sloooow but I seemed to get a second wind and it picked up the last two weeks for a total of 20 books read. From my October TBR pile, I passed on two books – Storm, These Shallow Graves, read 5 – Vengeance Road, Signs Point to Yes, this Ordinary Life, The Rest of Us Just Live Here, Food Whore, I’m reading First & Then right now (cute), and still need to read Wolf by Wolf, Rescue Road and A Step Towards Falling. Not bad. And of course I went of course and read other books too….

Full list of October reads: (I added links if I reviewed it)

For those who celebrate – did you have a fun Halloween? We had SOOOO many Trick or Treaters that I ran out of candy at 90 kids…

I posted this on Twitter so most of you have probably seen it already but here are my kids dressed up over the years. I swear that they enjoy it. They kids in the neighborhood loved it so they would go trick or Treating once the kids got home from school Smile with tongue out

Halloween Dogs
The weird one with the box (top pic on the left below the pirates) is Plant vs. Zombies. that’s a little obscure if you don’t know about the game. lol

  1. Looking forward to your 5th blogoversary...for some reason I thought you were a much more seasoned blogger (I didn't say "older" LOL). Which day is that? Because it's my birthday on December 14th!

    1. There is a house on our street that goes all out so it bring s people to the neighborhood that don't even live here. We used to get around 40-ish.

I think you'll like Status Update. It was so cute!

  3. You are on top of your M/M romances.

We got hit by rain and crappy weather yesterday (like 40s) so we didn't have any trick or treaters. I was really sad, but we watched 90s Are You Afraid of the Dark and gorged on the chocolate instead. :D

Your kids are so good! Do they actually wear the costumes all day? I was thinking about getting costumes for the kitties, but I wasn't ready for that fight.

    1. I'm trying to find more f/f, trans etc but they're scarce.

I love the trick or treaters but all I wanted to do was change into my pj's lol

They wear them for about an hour or so. When they were younger the kids in the neighborhood liked to see them so we'd take them out once they all got off the bus but before it got dark.

Figment is a different matter - there's NO way he'd dress up!

  4. Breathless intrigues me. And I love all the pics of your doggies of course. We don't get any TOT'ers :( so we went out. October has been so busy I haven't really read a lot, or blogged a lot. 5 years! Congrats! I'm like 5 or 6, can't remember, lol.

    1. Thanks :-)

I love Twitter. It's so easy to talk about books or stay in touch with friends. There is a lot of drama at times but I find it's pretty easy to avoid.

  8. Plants vs Zombies is so much fun. I need to start playing it again.

Your babies are SO CUTE, so creative, and are better sports than my shelties were... well one. I dressed her as Xena one year and as a Hershey Kiss another. Both times she just looked at me like... sleep lightly my dear... LOL My other sheltie loved the attention so no probs. Hopefully she is what saved me in the middle of the night. :) Ah... good memories.
