Music: Maxine Nightingale

Earworm

Here’s my current ear worm…

Maxine Nightingale – Right Back Where We Started From

I saw a sign near my local retirement (55+) community advertising that Maxine was playing a concert at their cultural center in October. I knew the name but couldn’t remember what songs she sang. Once I looked her up I realized I used to listen to her all the time in the 70’s.

It kind of makes me feel really old that “my” music is now being played as entertainment for a retirement community lol - but it’s a fun song to have as an earworm. Happy Friday everyone!

  2. LOL!! I've heard some of my favorite 80's music turned into elevator music...and it makes me so very sad. Great song, though!!

    1. It's funny because I mostly listen to indie rock now but I was all about the disco when I was a teen. lol

  4. I haven't quite reached the point where the songs of my youth are being featured in retirement homes, but I definitely feel your pain. LOL Happy Friday to you too! :)

  5. I don't mind your earworms as long as you don't end up playing Beiber. LOL

  7. haha That's awesome, and yeah that'd make me feel old. It makes me feel old to realize the 90's were over TWENTY years ago.. for me it feels like they were just yesterday! Or a decade ago. not over twenty years, yikes!

This is such a fun song :D I never knew who sang it before either!
