Stacking the Shelves….

Stacking The Shelves – hosted by Tynga’s Reviews, is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

I haven’t done one of these posts in a long time so there are a lot of books. Unfortunately – I haven’t been in the mood to read (What’s happening to me??!! HELP!) so the pile is starting to stress me out. I can usually read one book a day.

I’m hoping by posting this pile it will motivate me to get reading.

  1. I know about the lack of motivation, Karen! Lately I was feeling like I'm not reading anything apart from review books, so I made a new rule of not requesting a new book until I have my review pile cleared out. It seems to help :) You have loads of great reads in this haul. I am very curious about The Lost and Dorothy Must Die. Enjoy all!

    1. About half of those are books that I got 6 months ago and I put off reading them until release time and now I have other books…lol

I have tried to stick to a 2 review book minimum and for the most part I've stuck to it. But when I don't read at all it still spirals out of control.

  2. I have a free Kindle sample of Dorothy Must Die, and although I was enjoying the sample, I've heard some mixed reviews on this one. It has gotten a lot of hype over the unique and startling premise, but some people think it failed to deliver.

Who am I kidding? I will probably buy the whole book later this weekend, reviews not withstanding. I may or may not like or finish it, but usually, if I enjoy the sample, I will go ahead and take a risk on the book.

    1. I love this version of Oz - I'm not quite as sold on Amy - the girl who comes to save it.

I read really fast but I can't seem to hit my reading groove right now lol

I thought Ring and Crown was pretty fun and it might get you out of your slump. Very fast-paced.
And you can never go wrong with some Nora Roberts :)

  25. I understand being in a reading slump. I've been in a bit of one, but I re-read the Daughter of Smoke & Bones series in preparation for the final book, and that seemed to help. :) Great haul you've got there...I loved Plus One and I'm very excited for Since You've Been Gone and The Lost.

  27. I finished The Ring and the Crown recently. I know what you mean by sometimes you just don't feel like reading. Even going a few days without reading can set you back on your reading pile. Sometimes I wander how healthy book blogging is for us LOL
