By Kelley Armstrong
Publisher: Sphere
Expected publication date: November 26th, 2103

Summary:

Protect the innocent. If there is any one principle that drives hit man Nadia Stafford, it’s this. In her own mind, when she was thirteen, she failed to protect her older cousin Amy from being murdered. Now she fails again, disastrously, when she botches a hit. To help her find her equilibrium, her mentor, Jack, brings her a gift: the location and new identity of the predator who killed her cousin and disappeared after the case against him failed.

Vengeance, justice? With the predator in her sights, nothing seems more right, more straightforward, more easy. But finding justice is never as simple as it seems.

I’m so crazy excited that this series is finally getting a proper conclusion. Book number two, Made to be Broken, in the Nadia Stafford series was released in 2009. I’ve been waiting ever since then to find out what happens with my favorite hit woman.

Kelley is well known in the blogosphere for her wildly popular paranormal Women of the Otherworld and YA spinoff Darkest Powers series, but the Nadia Stafford series doesn’t have any paranormal elements. What it does have is a tough heroine, plot twists, sexual tension and great writing.

The series never really found an audience when it was first released in 2007 but I think readers are ready for it now and I hope they give it a chance even though it’s so different from Armstrong’s other works.

A new set of covers couldn’t hurt either. The current ones just don’t convey the awesomeness of Nadia.

Give it a shot guys!! It's really worth it.

  4. Oooh, she's a hit woman? That sounds cool! I have a couple of Kelley Armstrong's books on my TBR list, but I still haven't read anything by her. I've added this one to the list as well! Great pick!

    1. You might like this Carrie. It's been years since I've read it but I don't think it was overly graphic. More psychological. Don't hold me to that though lol

    1. It's probably better that you waited. The second book ended on a small cliffhanger. Not a huge deal but when you have to wait 4 years!! lol I'm just happy they gave Kelley the chance to end it properly.

  9. I'M SO EXCITED FOR THIS TOO! Honestly these are my favourite books of hers and I hope that the last one is just as good.
Ooh and with the covers, I'm not sure what version I ended up getting but they're slightly better (or at least more colourful). And I also adore them because I got them signed!!!!!!!!
