For What It's Worth

THANK YOU!!

WOW.

I just added up all the winning bids for all four auctions and the donations totaled........drumroll please....... $1450.00!! Adding in Jeaniene's matching donation of $100.00 and my $50.00 match and the total climbs to $1600.00!!

When I came up with this crazy idea, I wasn't even sure anyone would even find my blog, but you all came through to help spread the word with your Tweets, Facebook and blog postings. I can't thank you all enough!!

Thank you - Thank you - Thank you to all the authors who donated their books to help raise money. I wasn't sure who to ask or if anyone would answer my emails. I sent out letters to the authors whose books are my favorites and are on my bookshelf and they ALL said yes! It's such a great feeling to find out that the people whose work I admire are also so kind and generous.

Thanks to the authors:

Ilona & Gordon Andrews
Kelley Armstrong & to Kelley's assistant Alison
Kresley Cole
Cynthia Eden
Angie Fox
Jeaniene Frost
Jeri Smith-Ready
Gena Showalter & to Gena's assistant Jennifer

Thanks to all who bid and made this exciting to watch!

Thank you to Emma, Maresa, Linda, and Sherry for your very generous donations to Doctors Without Borders! Enjoy your books!

Thank you Tiger Holland(check out her blog HERE) for helping with the Ilona Andrews auction posting. Your a lifesaver!

Thanks to Leave A Mark book auctions and Lauren & Chelsea for letting me borrow (ok - I stole!) their idea and format. I don't think I would have been able to figure it all out on my own.

And a little shout to my hubby for putting up with me for the past month. I was a little manic trying to put this together :-) Between freaking out that my favorite authors actually answered me and then - "holy crap" I have to actually do this now and then stressing about if there will be any actual bidding......he's had to put up with a carzy lady. Thanks! Love you & YES, I promise to do a review of one of your zombie books soon!

Please consider making a donation to Doctors Without Borders if you haven't already. Their work in haiti won't be over for years to come and now news comes of the devastation in Chile. Sadly there will always be a need for their services around the world. They are an organization that I donate to myself and I chose them because of their longstanding reputation of remaining politically neutral and getting donations to the people who need it most - not spending more than necessary on advertising and adminstrative costs.

We'll be back to regular blogging and free stuff tomorrow so I hope you will all stick around!
