I still kind of hate it, but I can see the results!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Jen at YA Romantics
Jenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04756695137600895936noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7047843651411739466.post-66685618699185043022015-03-29T13:37:36.193-04:002015-03-29T13:37:36.193-04:00I'm a really immature 50 lol

Even when I wasn't part of FitReaders last year - seeing their updates and tweets made me get moving too.

I tried running and I never ever got the high. Just exercise induced asthma lolKarenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13958940283330319507noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7047843651411739466.post-3041969874936202132015-03-29T12:26:48.057-04:002015-03-29T12:26:48.057-04:00You're turning 50?!?! I used to run I think I messed up my right leg due to bad form and wearing heels too much. Sucks because I miss that runner's high. Also I dislike counting reps. Oh well, gotta do what you gotta do.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07921678042033544000noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7047843651411739466.post-35407502839720820842015-03-29T10:16:24.140-04:002015-03-29T10:16:24.140-04:00It's so weird because I did yoga ALL the time....It's so weird because I did yoga ALL the time. In fact that's all I did for years. I'm turning 50 this year and when I made an effort to get in more cardio/strength training I seemed to have lost that.

I am getting stronger but now I lost all that flexibility.

I have asthma, bad knees and I used to have back issues. It's better but I can't do high intensity workouts anymore.

Just have to find that balance! Good luck with the trainer :-)
Karenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07685405404548766935noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7047843651411739466.post-33367551774182898282015-03-29T10:12:39.116-04:002015-03-29T10:12:39.116-04:00I had debilitating back pain a few years ago and i...I had debilitating back pain a few years ago and it was so scary to think this would be my life from my 40's going forward.

I seem to have finally got a handle on that so I try to something every day so I don't go back to that place of pain. Also (I think you know this already) is the memory of my fathers Parkinson's . Seeing him & the other elderly people made me realize how important balance and flexibility is.

I probably seem more aggressively active than I am. I do work out but it's all low impact. I tried running but I just can't and I have no stamina to do those high intensity workouts. I love doing yoga and am going back to taking 2-3 classes a week starting this week, so am hoping that that will help. I'm a walker (no running for me - have bad hips/knees), but I know that being more flexible/staying flexible is better especially as we age. My other problem is that I don't really do any strength training either...again, I'm hoping the yoga will help with that, but I do have a session with a trainer at the gym this week, so hoping to get some ideas for some easy exercises to incorporate into my day that will make a difference AND that I will remember to do! But like i said before, I can't do a piece of exercise to save my life LOL.Roberta R.https://www.blogger.com/profile/18228840429799100354noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7047843651411739466.post-43379208965981586782015-03-28T16:07:58.451-04:002015-03-28T16:07:58.451-04:00something is better than nothing at times :) something is better than nothing at times :) Julie@My5monkeyshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17861113387434481518noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7047843651411739466.post-26097863757029145912015-03-28T16:02:20.758-04:002015-03-28T16:02:20.758-04:00I should stretch too, I am NOT flexibleI should stretch too, I am NOT flexibleBlodeueddhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03435479623560871881noreply@blogger.com
