I would like to introduce you to Janet Cadsawan of Cadsawan Jewelers. I'll be adding her button to my sidebar and you really should take a look at her stunning works of art!
I am admittedly not a big jewelry wearer but her line of Bones charms, bangles and baubles inspired by Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress series really caught my eye. She also sells collections inspired by True Blood, the Morganville Vampires and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

Without further ado...here's Janet:
Hi,
I was thinking of coming up with something witty to write about myself, but alas ... I think I'm boring. Here is my official bio:
My philosophy is that jewelry is magic adorned. I design one-of-a-kind talismans, fine jewelry and supernatural baubles. My pieces are showcased in both art galleries and fine jewelry stores. Born through my passion for nature and architecture, my pieces are like miniature sculptures.
I uses local craftsmen to create my jewelry and I continue to recycle my recycled metal for my collections. Lover of small and large animals, I lives on a farm in Greenwich, CT and my jewelry studio is in New York City.
How Cadsawan Jewelry got started:
Just after I had raised $500K for my technology start up in 2001, the internet market went bust, and of course there was 9/11. So, I did what most nerds did at that time, which was collect unemployment and think of my next start-up, but all I could think of was that it was a good time to start writing a novel that I've been wanting to write. So, I started writing it, and I made my protagonist a jewelry designer ... she made magic imbibed baubles. Then, I started working in a jewelry store in Greenwich to learn the basics of jewelry making - the name of stones, metal and how to determine a good pearl from a bad one. What happened was magical - by researching my protagonist's occupation, I found out that jewelry design came to me quite easily. So, I apprenticed with a Dutch jeweler and that's how I stole my fictitious character's occupation. Now, I just think it's logical that I'm making jewelry inspired by other fictitious characters.
So there it is!!!
