I am also like you in that I like knowing exactly where I am in a book and not relying on the Kindle's estimate of time/percent.

BUT...I started using NetGalley and it became such a pain to only read the books on my computer. I caved and got a Kindle a couple years ago and now it is full of so many books, I can't even count. Good thing the Kindle does for me. It has the relatively small number of 641 books currently.Sarah @ All The Book Blog Names Are Takenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12507006809241347635noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7047843651411739466.post-71554989745298991812018-07-12T13:14:02.566-04:002018-07-12T13:14:02.566-04:00Sometimes, near the end of a book, I like to flip ...Sometimes, near the end of a book, I like to flip back and I don't know where that is in an e-book lolKarenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13958940283330319507noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7047843651411739466.post-81869932339237849922018-07-12T13:08:21.996-04:002018-07-12T13:08:21.996-04:00Ohh that too! I much prefer reading physical books (for various reasons -- nostalgia, smell/touch, etc.) but reading on my iPad almost always wins out because it's just so damn convenient! I used to commute to work and also travel a lot on trips and stuff, and my iPad was a lifesaver. Something tells me that my boss wouldn't have understood if I tried to tell her that I only packed one work appropriate outfit because the rest of my bag was stuffed with books! 😂Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03345874849864173182noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7047843651411739466.post-77996953200744560492018-07-11T10:16:15.204-04:002018-07-11T10:16:15.204-04:00I'll always prefer a physical copy of a book -...I'll always prefer a physical copy of a book - I'm actually one of those people that love the smell of books. hah It's also much easier to tell where you are in the story, like you said. Having...I'm like you, I prefer an actual book. Having said that, I read a ton of ebooks. Used to be mostly on my Nook, but in the past year or so it's probably switched to more on my phone. I used to say I hated having it be so small and having to swipe to turn pages so many times, but I've gotten used to it. I agree with you about having a harder time knowing where you are in the book when it is an e-book. I prefer if possible to read fantasy books in a physical copy because it is easier to go back and forth when I need to reread something. At least to me it is. But give me a good contemporary romance or similar and I can burn through it on the e-reader.
